DESCRIPTION:Publishing data is an essential cornerstone of open science. U
 sing an example from agricultural economics\, we discuss the process of an
 d experiences in making data available to the research community. The data
  presented in this Data-in-Brief article contains information on German fa
 rmers’ acceptance of results-based agri-environmental schemes (AES) coll
 ected in an online survey in spring 2020. Acceptance is measured in the wi
 llingness to participate and the intensity of participation in terms of ar
 ea willing to enroll for the scheme. Personal\, farm characteristics and b
 ehavioral factors have been considered. We used a between-subject design t
 o introduce a social nudge (information treatment) for one group. The data
  was collected via the software LimeSurvey. A two-step approach asked part
 icipants first about willingness to participate and\, if willing\, about t
 he area they would enroll. The data is related to the following paper: htt
