The new repository for publishing your research data. The Research Data Service Center will soon offer an institutional, cross-disciplinary research data repository, bonndata, for the publication of research data for all researchers at the University of Bonn. With bonndata you will be able to share your data according to the FAIR principles and make it a findable and citable publication. Learn more about this new service in our presentation! Speaker: Sergej Zerr and Ewa Bres, ULB

Here's what to consider! Open access has developed into a highly dynamic field in the area of book publications in recent years. As the publication landscape in the area of scholarly books is very heterogeneous, the established open access models for journals cannot simply be transferred. An efficient infrastructure with various publication and funding options has now also developed in the area of open access books. Get to know your options for publishing your open access book! Speaker: Ariane Larrat, ULB

Digitalization is changing day-to-day research practices across all fields of academic inquiry. This advancement leads to a growing number of (bio-)medical research data collected, processed, analyzed, published and archived, almost exclusively, in digital systems. In this context, the term Research Data Management (RDM) refers to a range of activities and topics concerning the handling of digital research data.

Research Data Management requirements from third-party funders. Most international funding organisations (research councils, trusts and funds) have established research data management guidelines which specify how to handle and manage research data. The general expectation is that research data derived from publicly funded projects are a public good and therefore should be made available to the public with as few limitations as possible. In this presentation we will explain the most important requirements from third-party funders. Speaker: Christian Bittner, ULB

In this context, the term Research Data Management (RDM) refers to a range of activities and topics concerning the handling of digital research data. Ever wondered what a data management plan is and why care to write one? Ever been unable to open a file, find the most recent version of a file, or worse, lost an important file? Regardless if small or big and transdisciplinary, all projects can generate enough (digital) research data to become confusing and susceptible to loss. This workshop provides you with do’s, don‘ts and best practices that help keep your project data safe, secure and well organized until you are ready to share or reuse it. Start your next project or enhance your current one by introducing RDM!

Digitalization is changing day-to-day research practices across all fields of academic inquiry. This advancement leads to a growing number of neuroscience- and clinical-related research data collected, processed, analyzed, published and archived, almost exclusively, in digital systems. In this context, the term Research Data Management (RDM) refers to a range of activities and topics concerning the handling of digital research data. Ever wondered what a DMP is and why care to write one? Ever been unable to open a file, find the most recent version of a file, or worse, lost an important file? Regardless if small or big and transdisciplinary, all projects can generate enough (digital) research data to become confusing and susceptible to loss.
