SFD Roadshow – Research Data Management Brought Directly to Your Unit

Would you like to inform researchers, project leaders, or administrative staff in your unit about the research data management (RDM) services available at the University of Bonn? Then the Research Data Service Center (SFD) can bring its Roadshow directly to you.

We provide a concise and practice-oriented overview of support services and IT tools that can simplify research data management: from data management plan (DMP) reviews and individual consultations to suitable storage solutions, IT tools, and data publication services. Our goal is to show you which support services are available at the University of Bonn, enabling you to manage your research data strategically, sustainably, and in compliance with funder requirements—so that you can focus on what matters most: your research.

Typical Roadshow Format

We are happy to tailor both the content and duration of the Roadshow to your specific needs and target audience. The event typically lasts around 45 minutes. During the first 20–30 minutes, we provide a compact introduction to the services offered by the Research Data Service Center. This is followed by time for questions, discussion, and an exchange about the specific needs of your unit. All we require is a room with presentation facilities.

Objectives

Participants will gain a concise overview of the research data management support services available at the University of Bonn and learn which services they can use to support their own research data management activities.

At the same time, the Roadshow provides an opportunity for direct exchange with the Research Data Service Center, allowing questions, challenges, and support needs to be identified and addressed at an early stage.
